Eternal Love
Acrylic painting on canvas, 40"x30". The crown of thorns reminds us of the great sacrifice our Lord made for us. The vine signifies the new life we have through that sacrifice. He came, and will come again, for his bride (all believers). He draws her hand to His heart as He prepares to take her to His eternal home, surrounded by His glory.
"Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear."

Acrylic painting on canvas. This painting was done after the tragedy of 9/11. The angel is gathering souls to heaven.
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would hae told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." John 14:1-3

The Healing Touch
Acrylic painting on canvas, 40"x30". Jesus still heals. A contemporary woman is at the feet of Jesus locking eyes with the Master and healing energy fills the atmosphere around them.
A woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind Jesus and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, "If I only touch His cloak, I will be healed." Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," He said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment. Matthew 9:20-22

Leap of Faith
Acrylic painting on canvas, 40"x30". Will this young eaglet be brave enough to let go of its nest and make its maiden flight into the unknown? In like manner, do we have the faith to leave our comfort zone and move into new directions or answer a call God has placed on our hearts? Just as this parent bird will come under the fledgling if it flounders and support it with its own wings, so will our Father support us as we step out in faith and follow Him. Hallelujah!
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1

Higher Daddy
Acrylic painting on canvas, 40"x30". While painting this image at a Harp and Bowl worship service a woman in the audience started to weep. We learned that years before she had lost a baby girl in delivery and that she had been seeking the Lord for assurance that her daughter was safe and happy in heaven. She felt that this painting was an affirmation that her daughter was indeed in God's loving care.
"'For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies." Psalm 108:4

He Paints the Skies
Acrylic painting on canvas, 30"x40". God magnificantly displays His creative artistry in the expansive skies above us.
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world."

High Tower
Acrylic painting on canvas, 50"x30". While painting this image during a Harp and Bowl session the song "Shout to the Lord" was played. In it one verse sung was 'My comfort, my shelter, tower of refuge ane strength'. It affirmed to my heart that I was painting exactly what the Lord wanted. We lived in Northern Ireland for a while, and we saw many towers like this. They were a refuge to run to when under attack. They would climb into the tower on a ladder and pull it inside after they were safely inside. The enemy had no way in. The shepherd in the painting is at peace because of the strong tower (Christ).
"The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe." Proverbs 18:10

Father of Compassion
Acrylic painting on canvas, 40"x30". While seeking the Lord for an idea for a painting to do during a Sunday morning worship service at our church a beautiful butterfly landed on a flower in our yard. I had never seen one like it. I noted it's beauty. The next day it returned but this time it had a torn wing. I felt saddened by it's plight. It was then that the Lord impressed this painting on my spirit. The next day a whole butterfly of the same species visited my yard. It lingured for about 20 minutes and "posed" for me. It waited for me to get my camera and allowed me to get close enough to get many fine photographs of it. Amazing! Another affirmation from the Lord.
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles." 2 Corinthians 1:3

I Am the Way
Oil painting on canvas. I feel very close to God when out in nature. This is one of the first images I painted of a spiritual nature. I have painted many versions of this same theme.

One Light
Acrylic painting on watercolor board.
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:15,16
-

Acrylic painting on watercolor board, 19"x20". The inspiration for this painting came to me as I was sitting in church listening to the contemporary worship song "He Holds the Key".
"These are the words of Him who is Holy and true, who holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open." Revelation 3:7

Celebration
Acrylic on canvas, 30"x24". This painting displays the joyful sounds we will hear and dance to in our heavenly home.
"Praise the Lord. Sing to the Lord a new song, His praise in the assembly of the saints. Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King. Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with tambourine and harp." Psalm 149:1-3

Come Unto Me
Acrylic painting on canvas, 40"x30". This man has already laid down many burdens, represented by the assorted baggage, at the feet of Jesus. He seems reluctant to let go of the last one. Jesus is compationately helping him to release this as well.
"Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

He Is Risen
Acrylic painting on canvas, 48"x36". On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb and when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus...two men in gleaming cloths suddenly stood beside them. They said, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, He is Risen! Luke:24:1-6.
"He has risen, just as He said." Matthew 28:6

In Remembrance
Acrylic painting on watercolor paper, 22.5"x16.5".
He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you, do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you." Luke 22:19, 20

Redeeming Love
Acrylic painting on canvas, 40"x30". In this painting Jesus takes the hand of a believer and presses it to his heart. This woman, representing any believer, has come to the cross to receive forgiveness for her sins. Forgiven, her cloths are now white while the dark garment of sin falls away. Others have come to the cross as well and the black and red scarves represent their repented sins. The rope represents the things that spiritually bound them and kept them from walking in freedom. At the woman's feet you see the blood of Jesus which has cleansed her and this steam has turned into a river of life.
The Lord says: "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." Isaiah 1:18
-
Revelation
Acrylic painting on canvas, 40"x30". Jesus, who is the Light of the World, is about to remove the spiritual blinders from this man's eyes. He is reaching expectantly, sensing the pressence of the Lord.
Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but wil have the light of life."
-
River of Life
Acrylic painting on canvas, 36"x18". Come to the river of life which flows from the throne of God. It is the refreshing. You can soak in it, dive into it, float and swim in it or rest beside it. Just come. Revelation 22 tells us about the river with the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb.

The Eleventh Hour
Acrylic painting on watercolor board, 24"x24". The apple and spilled cup remind us that in Genesis the Bible tells us that before the flood, people on earth were eating and drinking and enjoying life but ignoring God. Now, in the 21st century I wonder if things have changed. I have symbolicly included various things pointing to a future event...Jesus coming again in the clouds riding on a white horse to the sound of trumpets.

Eye Of God
Acrylic painting on canvas, 40"x30". The worshiper, standing on the rock, is reflected in the eye of God. The Lord cares about and notices each one of us individually.
